Walmart to launch Samsung Infuse 4G next month

Ok, so there is no dual-core processor under the hood. Everything else has that wonderful high-end smell including the previously mentioned display. A 1.2GHz Hummingbird is on board while an 8MP camera is on the back. A 1.3MP front-facing camera allows you to video chat or take self-portraits. Android 2.2 is installed with an upgrade to Gingerbread pretty much a done deal.
Walmart's circular shows a price of $178.88 for the Samsung Infuse 4G which will require a signed 2-year contract. If all goes as planned, by next month, you will be able to pick up a 4G enabled handset and a new pair of socks at the same store.

If this Wallmart circular is correct, next month the Samsung Infuse 4G and its 4.5 inch display will be available for a contract price of $178.88 |

I would like to see how well the 1.2 ghz processor handles. I like the fact that it's a 4.5 inch super amoled screen as well.

The single core hummingbird in day to day tasks probably will fair well against upcoming dual-core handsets until 2.4 comes out or you're playing games.

Was going to say if you played around with the Droid 2 Global, that is running a 1.2ghz processor. I think it should fair pretty well with other phones out on the market.

I have a feeling that with a 1.2ghz processor and a 4.5 inch screen, that battery life won't exactly be the greatest. It should've been a dual core just to save battery life.

I work at Wal-Mart in the electronics department and we just go the display for it in. Our AT&T rep brought one in and showed it off. The screen is pure secks. She played a movie on it (don't recall which one) and it looked FANTASTIC. Price is confirmed at 178.88 and I'm picking it up the day we get it.

I guess I'll buy one when It's already out in the market, it sounds classy and look gorgeous. Speaking of Wal-Mart, it is the world's leading box store but has been continuously losing consumers in the United States. The store is using heavy online promotions, with deals and free sample, to lure bodies back to the aisles. Here is the proof: Wal-Mart combats lower sales with coupons and samples
