This is the HTC One X9
While HTC has yet to say anything about the rumored One X9, we're now certain of the handset's existence, as this has just been approved by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center. The Chinese certification body also revealed a list of specs, and four images of the One X9, thus confirming that the previously leaked images were indeed showing the real device.

The HTC One X9 measures 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm, weighs 174 grams, and seems to have a body that's partially made out of metal (though we might be wrong).

Sporting a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, the X9 is not exactly a high-end smartphone. It's powered by an octa-core 2.2 GHz processor (unknown maker), further featuring LTE connectivity, 5 MP front-facing camera, 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable internal memory. At the moment, the new smartphone is running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

It's said that HTC is planning to release the One X9 in early 2016, a few months before its upcoming One M10 flagship (of which we don't really know much). Would you be interested in buying the HTC One X9? If yes, how much will you be willing to pay for it?

iPhone 6 mixed with Nexus 6P
But it is still better than the A9.

Shut up already...!
Its an HTC original design apple stole it from M7.

How so?

Because if you're talking about antenna lines:

1) the iPhone 5 had glass antenna cutouts in the exact same places BEFORE the One was released; and 2) even if Apple did take that idea, that is literally the ONLY part of the design they took.

If Apple did steal the M7 design, where are the front-facing speakers? The flush, centered rear camera? The rounded back? The polycarbonate sides? The chamfered edges?

I love the M7's design, even more so than my iPhone 6s. That being said, having used both, the two designs are almost nothing alike.

Some people does not take sides and give credit to who deserves it (people like me :D)

Some people are fanboys....and would always back up their fav devices/OS

While some people just hate APPLE for no reason.

I don't know what is so funny about that. My bro still owns G2 and I've had Z3C for a while and they both were pretty fast, especially Z3C. G2 got big boost after installing AOSP. Nexus 5 has 2 gigs and it's still one of fastest android phones in real usage, not benchmarks.
More RAM is always nice and welcome, but surely for someone who looks for midrange device it will never be a problem to run with 2 gigs

Htc be cool iphone is iphone...

One after one phone with iphone design.
Please focus on your own phones as you prepared amazing phones in past e.g prices, one desire phone = $600 that should be $200.

Seriously guys, I don't know how much crack you smoke but if you find any similarities beetwen those 2 phones you are completely blind or completely stupid. Take your pick:
http://www.loadthegame.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/htc-one-m7-vs-iphone-5s-design.jpg

And FYI Apple had antenna lines already in iPhone 4

And now find any similarities here:

That is an iphone 6 next to the m7 tho. iPhone 4 had lines only on the sides.

Tbh this should have been the A9. Other than the blessed Boomsound...real world usage is more so the same. Performance (I REALLY HOPE!) gets a bump with battery as well.

the only thing that htc one a9 lacks as a midranger is the underperforming processor and most importantly battery,, i think htc should have gone with snapdragon 800 in terms of processor and upped the battery to around 2900-3000. Well this could have made a9 tempting while retaining the same price....

I detract my previous statement, this is not worth $500. Meizu Metal is almost the same and it costs $200. Only unfortunate thing besides no global availability is that it runs Yun OS.

What happened to HTC's loyalty to new, fast updates Android phones? I hope 5.0.2 is a mistake.

16gb internal and 2GB RAM.... 13mp camera.... come on HTC, by 2016 this kind of spec won't even exist on a low end phone, and you want to position this as a midship??

3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal will be spec for midship next year..

flagship should be 4GB and at least 32GB pair with a 20mp camera with a 3500mah battery.

Please HTC, hit the bullseye in 2016.

If a 5.5" 1080p IPS display is the basis for "not exactly a high-end smartphone" then I'm a little confused as to why Phonearena lists the iPhone 6s Plus as the #2 Best Smartphone...

Contrarian point: you're comparing to completely different operating systems here.

Is tall for an Asian the same thing as tall for an African-American?

If we talk about Android handsets, since there are plenty of high-end devices with Quad HD screens and 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, it would be a bit unfair to include the One X9 in the same high-end category.

You do realize that your statement, being from a representative of PhoneArena, now creates a disparity between the numerical ratings you give to Android devices, and the ones you give to Apple devices?

HTC A9 is a great value on sale at $399, not so at the $499 price tag.

The X9 would make sense at $450, and seems quite comparable to the 6P. Have a feeling HTC will bungle this, and price the X9 at $499 or even $599 MSRP and then offer a sale price randomly.

As long as the X9 doesn't follow in the 6P's footsteps and bend like a Pepsi can, I think it's fine.

... "But let's selv it for $799, then we can be different..."

I kinda like the frontal design, but not so much the back. They should have just given it the A9 design treatment for its rear end.
