T-Mobile starts shipping the LG G5
Even though shipments of the LG G5 aren't supposed to start until April 1st, some of the carriers have already started to ship the phone. One PhoneArena reader let us know that he had received email from T-Mobile showing that his device had shipped and would be in his hands later today. The phone can be purchased from the Uncarrier for $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $26.25. The full retail price of the handset is $629.99.

If you purchase the LG G5 from T-Mobile before April 10th, you will not only receive a spare battery, you will also be sent a free LG 360 Cam. The device is packed with two 200-degree wide angle 13MP cameras, and comes with a 1200mAh battery.

The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 820 chipset with a quad-core 2.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of native storage (23GB is available to the user). A 16MP camera is found on the back, with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The front-facing selfie snapper weighs in at 8MP, and a 2800mAh replaceable battery keeps the lights on. Android 6.0 is pre-installed. The LG G5 features a modular design which allows you to swap batteries and other cards to enhance the camera and audio on the phone. LG calls them "Friends."

If you pre-ordered your LG G5 from T-Mobile, you could be up and running with your new handset as soon as today.

Thanks for the tip!
