Sony pushes November security updates to Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact

1comment

Nothing should be more important for a smartphone user than the security of his or her data. This is why software updates are so necessary these days when all we hear is that mobile devices need better security.

Samsung and BlackBerry were among the first companies to provide users with the November security patch, even before Google announced the update is available for its Nexus and Pixel devices.

Sony isn't far behind, as the Japanese company has silently started to push the latest security update to two of its high-end smartphones: Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact.

If you own one of the two devices, you'll want to look for build number 39.0.A.3.30 for the Xperia XZ or 34.1.A.3.49 for the Xperia X Compact.

Since Sony hasn't announced anything related to these two updates, it's unclear whether or not they contain other improvements of fixes for the Xperia XZ or Xperia X Compact.

Keep in mind that these updates should arrive on your Xperia smartphones in a OTA manner, but you can go ahead and check for their availability.
