Samsung Galaxy S II Android ICS update now rolling to Europe and Asia
The official Samsung Tomorrow blog got the word out that the Samsung Galaxy S II owners who live in Korea, Poland, Hungary and Sweden will be getting the Android Ice Cream Sandwich treatment as soon as today via the Kies sync software, with other countries soon to follow.

We all know that the process for approving an Android update by the US carriers is way more convoluted than anywhere else, so American versions of the Galaxy S II will probably wait in line after all the other countries have gotten their sweet tooth fix.

Samsung said it will also be pushing very soon the Android 4.0 update to other devices in its Galaxy line, like the Galaxy Note, Galaxy S II LTE and the Galaxy Tab 8.9/10.1 tablets.

Sony had the earliest words about ICS and we appreciated but see Samsung and HTC are the first to roll out ICS. the lol thing is that Sony has even launched their NXT SERIES on gingerbread. atleast that must have been launched on ICS

Absolutely. I have the UK version and I was updated to 2.3.4 immediately when it was released. I read there is a second batch coming on Monday the 19th and that will be the UK and I'm assuming other regions too.

Its crap. The XXLPH(Open Europe, Beta) firmware I was on had cool 3d effects. These guys simply removed those effects from the update.(XXLPJ,Poland) I dont know whether its region specific, though.
