In case you somehow missed the news, Samsung announced two mighty awesome smartphones at yesterday's Unpacked event. These are the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, both of which are scheduled to launch in just a week's time. As a matter of fact, if you live in the U.S., you may pre-order yours at your preferred major carrier – AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, or T-mobile. Yet there's also a fifth option – BestBuy.

The big box retailer has both the Galaxy Note5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ on pre-order, and is throwing in a free wireless charging pad to sweeten the deal. However, there's a catch. The wireless charger, which would normally cost you between 30 and 50 bucks, comes free of charge indeed. But it is the model Samsung announced with the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge+ (model EP-PG920IBUGUS). This charging pad does not support wireless rapid charging – a technology that both the Note5 and the S6 edge+ are compatible with. In plain words, recharging either one from zero would take about 4 hours with the accessory you get for free. A rapid wireless charger, on the other hand, will be able to recharge either phone twice as fast.

Still, a free wireless charging pad is a free wireless charging pad. In case you're interested in BestBuy's offer, here are the models available for pre-order as of this writing.

There's one more thing we should mention. Upon pre-ordeing a Galaxy Note5 or Galaxy S6 edge+ from BestBuy, you are eligible to receive a $200 Best Buy gift card if you trade in a working smartphone. But not any smartphone counts, as the fine print says. you may only trade in a valid post-paid smartphone. The offer is valid until August 29 at BestBuy retail locations.
