Oppo R7 images appear with a bezel-less edge-to-edge screen
Last month, we told you about the Oppo R7, the manufacturer's apparent successor to the Oppo R5. The Oppo R7f had been given the green light by Indonesia's regulatory agency, and a couple of specs had managed to leak out. The only thing we were missing at the time was an image of the device (as you can see, we cleverly used a photo of the Oppo R5 as a reference in our earlier story).

Today, pictures allegedly of the Oppo R7 were tweeted by @Cinquetacche and they reveal a bezel-less edge-to-edge screen. The phone is also quite svelte, matching the 4.85mm thickness of its predecessor.

Speculation has the Oppo R7 powered by the 64-bit true octa-core MT6795 CPU from MediaTek. One other rumor has Oppo placing a 20.7MP snapper on back of the phone. The Oppo R5, if you're the curious type, was powered by the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU. The latter, of course, uses the big.LITTLE architecture.

There is no word on when Oppo (which is a Palindrome, by the way. Google it.) plans on unveiling this new model. In the meantime, you should feel free to check out images of the Oppo R7, which are in the slideshow below.

useless though... I mean when you hold it it will be a pain. The s6 edge still works but this is to much

S6 Edge is way more practical than this.

Looks like the future is coming. But will this be actually practical??? or will we in a couple of years ask Sony to bring back it's bezels?

your part of a very small minority, the masses buy phones from the looks so atm ip certification is to big of a sacrifice, but frontspeakers + bezel-less sides would still be combinable

i prefer they hv 5" screen display so no more bigphone, if people need big they can choose phablet or tablet. for smartphone we need more ergonomic design, beauty, powerfull hardware, and smartest with the up to date software.
