Lumia "selfie" model codenamed Superman, said to be on the way to Verizon and AT&T
Back in April, we told you about a Nokia Lumia model codenamed Superman. The phone was rumored to feature a 4.7 inch screen, with a 5MP front-facing snapper designed for better quality "selfies". Today, some new information about the phone has surfaced. Expected to be a sequel to the Nokia Lumia 720, there are three product codes believed to be associated with the new device, RM-983, RM-984 and RM-985.

The Lumia "selfie" phone is expected to be released in the third or fourth week of August, and is scheduled to be available from Verizon and AT&T, with Windows Phone 8.1, and the GDR1 update pre-installed.

Other rumored specs include a 5 inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution, and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU under the hood. That means that the Adreno 305 will be inside, crunching the graphics. On back, we should find an 8MP Carl Zeiss camera, with the ability to take great pictures in low-light conditions. The phone's design is expected to be slightly different than the look of the Nokia Lumia 720.

Sony has just unveiled the Android powered Sony Xperia C3, a self-proclaimed selfie model, with a 5MP front-facing camera. There is no reason why the Windows Phone platform can't also take advantage of the "selfie" craze.
