Carphone Warehouse promotional materials reveal LG Nexus 4 will have Android 4.1 on board
That darn hurricane has put the kibosh on the Google media event scheduled for Monday morning in New York City. But that doesn't mean that we can't continue our WNXS programming of all LG Nexus 4 all the time! So many of you guys out there have been indicating that you have your wallets ready and will pull the trigger once you have the chance to buy this phone. And now, thanks again to retailer Carphone Warehouse, we can once again confirm that the latest Nexus handset will cost you 389.95 GBP in the U.K. It is also free with certain data plans costing 31GBP ($50 USD) a month. In the states, the phone is expected to cost you $399 from the Google Play Store, and that is without a contract!

Meanwhile, Carphone Warehouse has been putting up some of the promotional materials it has on hand for the LG Nexus 4. One thing that we've spotted from the promotional materials is that the device will not be loaded with Android 4.2 out of the box as expected. While this might be a tad disappointing to some, Android 4.2 is not expected to be Key Lime Pie and we wouldn't be surprised to see the latest OS build sent out quickly after the phone is launched. After all, it is a 'Nexus' and while some of you might be saying, "after all it is an LG," we expect the LG Nexus 4 to be right at the front of the line for new updates. Having said that, it does seems strange to be introducing a new Nexus device without it having the latest OS build right out of the box, especially since Android 4.2 is supposedly part of the same event that introduces the model.
