Apple rumored to unveil new iPads in early April

Apple is expected to unveil a new set of iPads this spring, but information about the date of the announcement has been a bit vague lately. Previous rumors suggest the new iPads could be revealed in March, but for some reason, Apple has decided to push the announcement to May.

Now, a new rumor is running around claiming Apple iPad event will be held on April 4 at Apple Park. The rumor is based on the fact that when you click on the “Check availability” link for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, it shows an April 4 availability for the slate.

It appears that the same pattern applies to all versions of the iPad Pro, regardless of color, storage and connectivity type. Moreover, Apple Park is supposed to open in early April as well, which could offer the Cupertino company the chance to celebrate it with the launch of new iPads.

As per Apple World Today's report, Tim Cook confirmed at Apple's last event held at 1 Infinite Loop, that it would be the last one at the current Apple HQ. If that's accurate, then the next Apple event is going to take place at a new location, possibly at Apple Park.

To make things even more interesting, it appears that some iPad deals running at local carriers offer up to $150 off most models. Normally, this wouldn't be out of the ordinary, but all these promotional deals will end on April 1, just three days before the new iPads are rumored to be introduced.

Apple is expected to reveal a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, a revised 9.7-inch tablet that will replace the iPad Air 2, as well as an updated 7.9-inch iPad mini.

Although the rumor is based on circumstantial data, it looks like the folks over at Apple World Today are confident that the new iPads will indeed be announced on April 4.
