Apple job posting hints at more complex Apple Watch faces ahead

Apple job posting hints at more complex Apple Watch faces ahead
Apple is apparently looking for a software engineer who will work on the Apple Watch's dedicated clock face team. The candidate for the job will work with other teams at Apple to build new watch faces and complications for the smartwatch. Complications are displays of data that can be configured inside certain watch faces.

Recently, Apple introduced a new exclusive watch face for the Hermes model of the Apple Watch, which comes with a choice of three leather bands designed by the fashion house. Speaking of the Apple Watch, we could see a refreshed version of the device unveiled as soon as March 15th. That is the date when Apple is rumored to be hosting a media event to unveil the 4-inch Apple iPhone 5se and the Apple iPad Air 3. The updated version of the timepiece is believed to include Face Time.

Apple is reportedly seeking more Apple Watch partnerships with fashion names, similar to the deal it already has with Hermes. That could explain Apple's desire to seek more members for the clock face team. You can check out the job listings posted by Apple by clicking on the sourcelink.

Any idiot can design watch faces. Seriously apples favorite Johnny Ive couldn't be bothered to do it?

Hey PA moderators. Your site has been banning me automatically every day (for about three weeks now) for a few hours. Please fix it - either ban me completely or fix it! It's annoying, I start a debate, and twenty minutes later can't even relpy to explain myself until a few hours later. I'm very contaversial to most people's views here and it's difficult to hold my case in point when one second you can post, the next you CANT!!! If this is just temporary daily bans - please for the sake of humanity post an explanation of what I'm doing wrong? Thank you..

Surprised because your truths and common sense drives more clicks and traffic out of all the offended haters

I really have a hard time finding Apple's fanboys on PA. I mean real fanboys, not trolls like that stupid chinese kid that got banned and now has cat on his profile image and Mxyzplt or whatever he is called

I find no trouble finding Apple fanboys here, they're everywhere, usually arguing with fandroids like they're any better.
Like your friend Unordinary there, he even named his account to counter a know fandroid LOL.

i doubt john ive designed iphone or other apple's product in the last several years.. I guess all he do is select design that submited by a bunch of junior designers at apple, and fix a little over that.. (I just can imagine that Ive design apple watch, or apple battery case, lol)

the apple watch is pretty cool i played with one at best buy and they have gone down in price you can grab one for $249 i don't see why all the hate at least apple is trying it may not be innovating but they are trying would you have a company just give up on a product like sony with the psp vita or continue to support their product ??

They are not only trying. They stormed into the smartwatch market after the competition had a large head start and in less than a year Apple took 2 thirds of that market. That's not trying, that's dominating. All that with their 1st gen watch.

Not because the watch is great, because it's Apple.
I'm no Apple hater, I really like and enjoy some Apple products like the iPad mini, but the Apple Watch is just horrible (mainly due to battery, gimmicky features, and straight rip-off price)

Sure, I mean it makes sense that a horrible product would sell like hot cakes. Everyone loves a s**t product right? Also, battery life? Mine lasts 18-22 hours. On a club night I where it from 4:30am when I wake up for work and charge it when I get home the same time the next morning when I get home. If I charge it for 20 minutes at 6pm-ish it will carry me through the next day, and I don't even need to go home to charge it. Gimmicky features? Dude it's an accessory, not a stand alone product, and honestly a standalone smartwatch to replace your phone like the gear s2 crap, is a crap idea. (don't believe me? Go ahead and check how many Samsung managed to sell, and we already established people love horrible products, right!?) And as an accessory device it serves it's purpose and then some! Lastly, this is their 1st generation Watch. We all know Apple is better at 2nd gen onwards. if the 1st gen did so well, imagine what the next gen will do. Oh and about the price? Don't you know they sell a cheap aluminium body with a sports strap for next to nothing?

Thanks for the essay, the length alone stinks of butthurt.
Anyways, you clearly don't get my point, and just go full on defensive mode. Also I don't freakin' care if you bash Samsung. Yes surely 2nd gen will be great, but doesn't change the fact that 1st gen is crappy.
HonestRealist? More like DefensiveFanboy.

Adressed? Squashed? LOL
Sorry, I'm not into replying long essays just to defend or bash a product, only blind fanboys do that.

I remembered they borrowed (copied) a clock design from Swedish railroad.

It was the "seconds" hand that is a circle on the tip that looked similar. But yes I remember. They even said apple for it. In my opinion the design was so basic, and not attractive - not worth the hassle.

The seconds hands looked exactly the same, but the entire clock does as well

Apple did end up paying for it

So is it fair if I think that android is a cluster-fuzz of a mess?
