Had this about three weeks and love it, having exactly the same experience as my desktop makes this the tablet I pick up over my iPad mini retina which is going on sale as I don't use it anymore.
The build quality is decent as is the screen, the real star however is the new atom processor in this which runs windows 8.1 without a hiccup. Seven tabs open in chrome one running a youtube video with excel open with a spreadsheet no sweat, no reloads when switching between tabs too.

What I like
Full windows means no compromises on web or media and gives the ability to run desktop apps
Hdmi out gives it a edge over other win 8 inch tablets
Micro sd slot can help with space issues
Can use OTG cable to plug in any external device
Comes with office 2013 home and student
What I don't like
desktop apps can be fiddly on small screen
metro store still behind other platforms
32gb model doesn't leave you much free space, about 9gb after office
