Samsung F330

At first glance, the phone is a real eye-candy. a friend of mind jokingly said its a mirror which can send sms and make calls. every soul who tried the phone would say, "wow, u just need to lightly touch the buttons" (i.e. the heat-sensitive softkeys). Except for my bro who says it feels too plasticky and likens it to a toy.

The phone is slim and lightweight. The sliding mechanism is sharp and well built. The phone's softkeys were a pain, it is very very sensitive, especially the directional keys. i end up removing all shortcuts which was assigned to the keys to avoid accidents while pressing the "normal" middle key. the numerical keypads have good tactile feedback and spaced out nicely. the same goes for the other shortcut buttons.

The camera is very very dissapointing. My previous 1.3MP phone performed better. Access to SMS is very slow, i'd have to wait a few seconds to have the inbox open, scrolling or reading an sms. The FM radio has good reception and clarity. The Music Player is dull, i expect to see some visualisation, but it only shows the album cover, that is if one is assigned. the sound is clear, however the bass is not strong enough.

As an overall conclusion, well, i actually can't pin-point the target audience. High-schooler would need good sms capabilites. Audiophilers would need good bass, clarity and customization capabilties. Camwhores would need fast, responsive, sharp camera. So in the end, it's for those who wants to look chic.
