Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+ go on sale in select markets
Quietly introduced two weeks ago, Samsung’s affordable Galaxy Tab A9 and A9+ tablets are now available for purchase. Although the South Korean company said these will be released globally, they’re only available in “select markets,”

Both tablets come in three colors – Graphite, Silver, and Navy, and their price start at around $155. The Galaxy A9 and A9+ promise to offer customers the largest screens of any Galaxy A series tablet yet, with 8.7- and 11-inch displays, respectively.

Out of the two tablets, only the Galaxy Tab A9+ supports 5G connectivity. However, a slew of accessories is available for purchase separately for both slates, including power adapters, cases, as well as a book cover keyboard slim which will be supported for Tab A9+ only.

The Galaxy Tab A9 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ features a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor. Both tablets pack 4/64GB or 8/128GB RAM, as well as microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

As far as the camera goes, both slates feature 8-megapixel main sensors, but the Galaxy Tab A9+ comes with a 5-megapixel selfie snapper, whereas the Galaxy Tab A9 has a subpar 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Another big difference between the two tablets is the battery. The Galaxy Tab A9 is powered by a 5,100 mAh battery, while the Galaxy Tab A9+ has a much bigger 7,040 mAh battery.

On the bright side, Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab A tablets feature Dolby Atmos and Samsung Knox, and ship with Android 13 operating system right out of the box.
