Amazon's Kindle platform is one of the most popular options for reading on any of your modern devices, but there was a problem with the newest Kindle update. If you're on iOS, Amazon says that you may have run into trouble with the new Kindle app update because there was a problem that could have deleted your books, but everything should be fixed now.
Amazon pushed an update to the iOS Kindle app, and quickly found a known issue with the update, which caused books to be deleted. Amazon then submitted a fix to the App Store yesterday, but the fix wasn't approved by Apple until after Amazon released a statement warning users about the update, and news stories began circulating about the issue.
The fix is said to be live in the App Store now, so users shouldn't have to worry, but it seems like something could be done to speed up Apple's approval process for important bug fixes like this.
