While the outside may or may not change, the inside of the Apple Watch Ultra 4 will be different

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is coming, and the device will be unveiled on Wednesday, September 9, during the "Surprise and Shine" event that will start at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT. The device is expected to have upgraded internal sensors. Even more exciting, if DigiTimes is correct, "the number of sensor components will double."
Apple will soon be able to release an upgraded hypertension monitoring feature
Additionally, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that the Apple Watch Ultra 4 will feature upgrades to fitness tracking. Even more exciting, Gurman says that the FDA has reviewed an upgraded version of the Apple Watch hypertension risk screening alert. While this won't show a user's actual systolic and diastolic numbers, it will give a warning when the heartbeat of the person wearing the watch displays a pattern indicative of hypertension while also checking their vessels by shining certain lights on them.
The sensors shine green and infrared LED lights through the skin to track how blood vessels dilate and contract with each heartbeat. The initial reading will appear after 30 days of measurement.
Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Apple Watch Series 12 will include first CPU improvement since 2023
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 and the Apple Watch Series 12 will both feature a brand-new chip with the internal codename T8320. During the Surprise and Shine event, that chip will be given the S11 or S12 name. This will be the first S-series chip designed by Apple since the start of what we can call the AI era. Siri AI makes its debut on the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra with watchOS 27.
