Apple's latest 9.7-inch iPad is on sale for up to $100 off at Best Buy
A seventh-generation iPad with a 10-inch screen, razor-thin bezels, and presumably Face ID technology is reportedly right around the corner, which can only mean one thing for bargain hunters with a preference for "entry-level" Apple tablets. This is probably the ideal time to purchase a sixth-gen 9.7-inch iPad from a place like Best Buy, which currently charges as little as $249.99 for the Apple A10-powered slate.

That's with a modest 32 gigs of internal storage space, of course, as well as no cellular connectivity, while the Wi-Fi-only 128GB configuration will set you back $329.99 for a limited time. That's a solid $80 and $100 off the tablet's list price respectively in these two variants, both of which are available in silver, space gray, and gold color options too. You can also get a free 90-day Apple Music subscription (new users only), although you obviously still have to pony up an extra $100 for an Apple Pencil if you need the productivity and creativity boost.

Best Buy has been running a number of sales on the spring 2018-released iPad lately, but this fresh batch of discounts undercuts last month's special offers by up to 30 bucks. Technically, the new deal is part of a larger 3-day promotion set to expire at 11:59 pm CT on Saturday, March 9, although Best Buy explicitly mentions this particular offer "extends beyond the sale period." We don't know how far beyond, unfortunately, so just to be on the safe side, you may want to hurry and pull the trigger today.

Granted, the savings aren't exactly life-shattering or never-before-seen, but it's unlikely you'll be able to get last year's 9.7-inch iPad any cheaper anytime soon. A battery powerhouse first and foremost, this relatively easy to carry slate also packs a respectable A10 Fusion processor for a satisfying content consumption experience on a super-sharp "Retina" display.
