ZTE Axon 7 starts getting Android Oreo beta in the US
ZTE announced back in December that the Axon 7 will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo at some point this year. Although the handset maker did not provide customers with a timeline, previous reports claimed the update may hit the Axon 7 as early as April.

We're happy to report that ZTE might indeed keep its promise since an Android Oreo beta program is now in full swing in the United States. As a matter fact, the first beta build has already been rolled out to some ZTE Axon 7 users in the country who are part of the beta program.

Although we don't have a full changelog of the first Android Ore beta update for the ZTE Axon 7, it appears that the company has included the latest January security patch in the build.

However, by the time the final version of the update will hit the ZTE Axon 7 in the US, Google will surely release a few more security patches for Android phones. While we still don't know when exactly the update will hit the Axon 7, it looks like ZTE is hard at work trying to release it sooner rather than later.
