You can now pre-order the LG Quantum, ship date rumoured to be November 15
Yesterday was the very first time that US consumers had the chance to buy Windows Phone 7 handsets. T-Mobile and AT&T have reserved the bragging rights for themselves as they are the exclusive carriers to release the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus (both for AT&T) and HTC HD7 (T-Mobile). Now, the second largest US carrier announced it's accepting pre-orders for the third Windows Phone 7 handset in its line-up – the LG Quantum – which will ship on these shores on November 15.
The LG Quantum has 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 256 MB RAM / 512 MB ROM, 16GB of internal storage and a 5MP camera with LED flash plus announced talk time of 6 hours. All these specs are pretty much consistent with what we have seen so far with the other Windows Phone 7 devices, but the "extra" of this model is the physical landscape QWERTY.
The price of the handset is set at $199.99 with a two-year contract or $499.99 for a contract-free LG Quantum. For more information on this phone check out our hands-on preview.
