You can now get the Google Pixel home button animation on the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL come with a range of unique software features even when compared to the latest Nexus handsets. Over the past few weeks, more and more Pixel-exclusive features became available to Nexus device owners through unofficial hacks and today we're going to add another missing piece of the puzzle, the home button animation.

To get the Pixel home button animation on your Google Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P, you only need to download the flashable package, which can be applied either manually or in TWRP recovery. If you're opting for the manual route, the source link below contains the full instructions on how to download the source files and apply the hack.

Just in case you're unaware of what the home button animation looks like, here's a demo:

Just note that you should create a backup of your device before installing the mod. You should always do this when applying system-wide changes. After all, you don't want to lose all of your files in the offhand chance that something goes wrong.

Previously, we talked about how non-Pixel devices can get the Google Assistant, the fingerprint sensor gestures, as well as a range of other features.

What do you guys think, are you going to install this unofficial patch just to get the new home button animation on your Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X?
