Xiaomi reveals Mi Mix 2 announcement date, won't be on the same day as the iPhone 8

The announcement date of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has been officially confirmed by the company. Version 2.0 of the bezel-less handset will break cover on September 11, a day earlier than the supposed unveiling of Apple's new iPhones.
The news comes straight from Chinese website Weibo, where an official poster/teaser was uploaded by the Asian manufacturer.
Xiaomi hasn't really confirmed anything else about the upcoming handset, but the Mi Mix 2 was allegedly tested on GFXBench. The listing reveals a few of its most important specs - the Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6 GB of RAM, with the device supposedly shipping with Android 7.1.1 out of the box.
Rumor has it that the smartphone will boast a massive 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2540x1440 pixels, a dual-camera composition at the back, and support for 3D facial recognition.

The problem with Mi Mix is only one: the screen is just too large. Even completely bezel-less, the phone remains too large. But indeed, the Chinese market favors large phones so they know what they are doing.

I happened to hold one yesterday, for the very first time in my life. It was awesome. Though The screen seems to be too large, which wasn't the case to me, it was pretty easy to handle it. It's absolutely stunning. My next phone will be a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 for sure :D

Mi Mix is my last hope. If it looks like the concept video, it'll be bezeless done to perfection. Note 8, overdone curves, puny battery. If any skin is worse than miui, it's lagwhiz. Iphone 8, silly cutout, same boring locked down OS. Pass on that as well.

What's the point of launcing a phone just a day before iPhone 8 launch? Not a wise decision. No matter how good Xiaomi is doing in India, China and some other emerging markets, but everyone is waiting for iPhone 8 launch. The centre of attraction would be iPhone 8 only, not Mi Mix 2 for sure.
