Windows Phone 8 hits Europe this weekend, US later in November
No good event can end without some release dates or at least release windows, and Microsoft hasn't disappointed on that front with its Windows Phone 8 event. The lucky region this time is Europe, which will see the first Windows Phone 8 devices launch this weekend, and the US will see devices sometime in November.

The first phones to launch will be the Nokia Lumia 920 (obviously), and the Samsung ATIV S, which will both be made available this weekend in Europe, and roll out to the rest of the world later in November. As far as other notable US releases, Verizon offer the Nokia Lumia 822 for $49 and the HTC 8X for $199 with a two-year contract, and are planned for release by Thanksgiving.

T-Mobile, will also get the HTC 8X, but it will only cost $149 (cheaper because of the lack of LTE), and the Lumia 810 for $99, both launching November 14th. Lastly, AT&T will get both the Nokia Lumia 820 and 920, and the HTC 8X at some point in November, but no pricing or specific release dates were announced.
