Windows Phone 1080p video recording might be announced at the MWC
A claim has appeared on the WindowsPhone8 Twitter account, which has been pretty accurate in the past, that 1080p video recording is coming to Windows Phone handsets.

Now of course we were certain that Full HD video will grace Microsoft's mobile OS at a certain point, until now we thought it won't be until the major Apollo update later this year.

Much to our surprise, the WP8 account tweeted that 1080p video capture for WP can be unveiled soon, among other new features. Nokia's event at the MWC in a few days is scheduled for Monday morning, so could it be that we will see a Nokia Windows Phone capable of 1080p video announced, or just the capability at the expo?

A similar thing happened with LTE - while most outside observers thought that this technology won't arrive to WP handsets before the Tango update, it turned out that it has been dormant in the mobile OS from the start, and the Nokia Lumia 900 will be taking advantage of it without having to wait for pesky updates. We'll be at the event, and keep our eyes peeled for the eventual 1080p footage.
