White Samsung Galaxy S II to be released in South Korea this week
First the good news – the white version of the Samsung Galaxy S II will go on sale this week and will surely grab the attention of your envious buddies when they see the stylish handset it in your hands. The sad part is that unless you live in South Korea, you won't be able to get the white variant of the almost iconic smartphone just yet.

As it has been announced over the weekend, Samsung will release the white Galaxy S II this Wednesday through the South Korean carrier SK Telekom. Unsurprisingly, the white outfit will be the only difference that will set the phone apart from its black counterpart. As far as the rest of the world goes, however, we know that Vodafone UK is expected to release the white Galaxy S II in the beginning of September, yet we are still not sure whether the smartphone will ever make it Stateside in a color other than Henry Ford's favorite one.

Nevertheless, that Samsung event, which is to take place at the end of the month, is very likely to shed some light on the Galaxy S II's arrival to the US. Who knows, if the planets align the right way, a white version of the smartphone might set foot on American soil after all. Well, just a couple more weeks until we know for sure.
