We have the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus! Join us for an unboxing

It has been almost two months since the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus were announced, and the handsets are finally available for pre-order in the states. For a budget of $200 to $300, the Moto G line, as always, offers a great price-to-value ratio, with a promising camera, competent hardware, and near-stock Android, which should work snappy.

We have our hands on a pair of the new devices ā€” the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus ā€” and, while we are busy taking them through their paces, we invite you to share the experience of unboxing them with us! We take a quick glimpse under the phones' removable back cover and, of course, check out what else it comes with out of the box.

I personally think that the normal G4 will score higher, mostly because its much better value than the plus. The fingerprint reader isn't great (plus it's ugly), and the "improved" camera is only really different when it comes to focusing. Actual image quality is almost the same between the two.

Good point.

The fingerprint scanner is not attractive but is fast and accurate, about as fast from the lock screen as the iPhone 6s and very accurate. The camera is no flagship camera but is better than pretty much anything south of $300. The Gā“'s is very good for the price of $200, too.

After reading the GSMA review on the G4, I'd wager 8.6-9.0 for either of these phones.

What's with the delay PA? Almost everyone got their reviews out (ex. GSMArena, AndroidAuthority)

Too bad... That a 200$ G4+ camera easily screw any of Apple camera today in the market.http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles/Column-right/Mobile-Scores

Really weird how I prefer the G4 over the G4 Plus. Poor fingerprint scanner placement+design?

I like it but bought a used v10 returb with flagship specs for $275. No brainer.

I know right, the v10 on the used/refurb market has to be one of the best deals out right now. Insane price for a good phone with stellar photo/video quality and ok battery life
