Initially released only via Verizon, the
HTC One (M8) for Windows is now also available via AT&T and T-Mobile - so almost all major US carriers are offering it (save for Sprint). To celebrate the wide availability of the handset, HTC and Microsoft are kicking off a promotion that enables buyers to get a free Xbox Dot View cover (as you can see, this is a green Dot View cover with the Xbox logo on the back).
All customers who’ve bought an HTC One (M8) for Windows starting November 1 are eligible for the promotion, and so are those who will be buying the handset before the end of January 2015. To get your free Xbox Dot View cover, you’ll need to fill in your details at the source link below (an HTC website).
Normally costing $50, HTC's Dot View cover first debuted earlier this year with the Android-based One (M8). You can find out more about its design and features by reading
our review of it here.
As for the HTC One (M8) for Windows, this offers the same hardware as the Android variant, including a 5-inch 1080p display, 4 MP UltraPixel rear camera, BoomSound speakers, and a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. The handset runs Windows Phone 8.1, and we imagine it will be
updated to Windows 10 next year.
