Verizon to update the Nokia Lumia Icon to Windows 10 Mobile starting tomorrow
According to a listing on Verizon's website, starting tomorrow Big Red is updating the Nokia Lumia Icon to Windows 10 Mobile. Verizon suggests that once you have received notification that the update has arrived on your phone, make sure that the handset is either connected to a Wi-Fi network, or has a strong Verizon cellular signal. You should also make sure that the battery is fully charged before starting the updating process.

You can also use the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app to help open up space on your Lumia Icon, allowing you to update to Windows 10 Mobile. The Upgrade Advisor app can be found in the Windows Store, and is a free download. Besides clearing enough room on your Lumia Icon to allow you to install Windows 10 Mobile, the app will also alert you if another update is required before you start installing Windows 10 Mobile on your phone.

The Nokia Lumia Icon was launched on February 20, 2014 with a 5-inch AMOLED display, carrying a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The Snapdragon 800 chipset is found under the hood, containing a quad-core 2.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 330 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of internal storage. A 20MP camera can be found on the back of the phone with OIS. The 1.2MP front-facing camera can shoot selfies, and also handle video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 2420mAh battery.

If you've been using the Lumia Icon for nearly 29 months, very soon it is going to feel like you have a whole new phone in your hand. Install the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app and be prepared for the notification that Windows 10 Mobile has landed on your handset.
