Verizon launched its LG G6 pre-orders while you were sleeping

When Verizon said LG G6 pre-orders are going live March 17, we didn't expect this to happen as early as midnight, but there you have it – LG's modestly elegant flagship is up for pre-order, priced at $28/mo on a 24 month installment plan, or $672 outright. Props to LG for keeping its prices sane yet again – not so easy to do when your product is reasonably cutting-edge and you want to turn a profit.

The G6 is sold only in Black and Gray, so ladies and color-happy gentlemen may be slightly disappointed. You'll probably end up putting the phone in a case anyway, and color variety is abundant there. But that's no excuse for having a limited choice of glum colors. We expect LG to brighten things up eventually.

If you are unsure about getting the LG G6 or yet to be introduced to it, our Initial Review will certainly help point you in the right direction. Consider that and our LG G6 vs LG G5: Should I Upgrade as reference reading. Verizon will ship the smartphone March 30.

G6 is a huge step forward for LG. S8 gonna wanna be more considerate this time around. Cuz G6 is no joke for that VERY GOOD price...

Happens with the iPhone at midnight release and all servers to all websites break. Wishing LG a good run with this phone. They deserve it

I really like the look of the g6... but I have read that LG has woefully poor customer support, and the whole bootloop issue with the g4 has me wondering if it is worth the potential hassle
