Samsung today announced a partnership with sports clothing and accessory brand Under Armor (UA). The collaboration will see a handful of Under Armour's finest fitness apps make their way to the Gear Fit 2, Gear S2, and the Gear S3, the two companies revealed.
Four apps by UA will launch for Samsung wearables this year as part of the Under Armour Fitness suite, including
UA Record,
MyFitnessPal,
MapMyRun, and
Endomondo. These apps will provide users with means to track their nutrition, daily workouts, running routes, as well as other important stats essential for meeting their daily fitness goals.
The apps will boast a handful of features exclusive to Samsung's wearables, including map and route display and untethered GPS tracking in
UA Record, water consumption logging and quick-add calories in
MyFitnessPal, challenges and untethered tracking in
MapMyRun, and challenges in
Endomondo.
UA Record,
MapMyRun, and
MyFitnessPal are already available on the
Gear Fit 2, with
Endomondo set to arrive later this month, while their Gear S2 and Gear S3 versions will see a release later this year, according to Samsung.
