Tetris comes to Facebook Messenger as instant game, here's how you can play it
Tetris, one of the most beloved games of all time, can now be played on Facebook Messenger. The title is already available on the Instant Games platform of the Messenger app.
The Messenger adaptation plays out much like the classic Tetris game - players need to arrange the falling blocks and clear lines with the goal of achieving the highest score possible. However, there are also some more modern features, such as daily missions, online high-score leaderboards, and Group play - an asynchronous multiplayer mode where one player plays solo and then challenges their friends to beat their high score.
Since its release in 1984, Tetris and its many variants have been available for nearly every video game console and computer operating system. Thus, it's hardly surprising to see the game making its way to the equally popular instant messaging service. It is estimated that about 1.3 billion people use Facebook Messenger.
If you'd like to give Tetris a try, feel free to follow this link or just tap on the "+" icon while inside a conversation and look it up. No download is required. It's important to note that the game isn't available globally just yet, but should roll out to more markets in the future.
