Telegram 4.1 released with Android Pay support for bots, new admin tools

The team behind Telegram is not worried about politics and continue to focus all its resources on making their messaging app as appealing as possible. The latest version of Telegram includes new features and improvements for admins and regular users alike.

The highlights of Telegram 4.1 are the new admin tools like the option to partially ban members from a supergroup, as well as the “Recent Actions” section that prevents confusion between multiple admins working with one group.

On iOS, Telegram 4.1 adds an improved sharing extension, which allows users to add an optional comment and select multiple recipients much easier. Also, the 3D Touch on the app icon enables you to see some new actions such as taking a photo or video and sending it to multiple recipients.

On the other hand, Android users will get Android Pay support for Bot Payments, as well as an improved media selection like photos and videos, which are now grouped together when you try to share them from the attachment menu or gallery.

Moreover, developers confirmed that they had implemented some anti-censorship tool including the ability to set up a Proxy server, which can be found in the “Data and Storage” section of the Settings.

Lastly, the maximum size of supergroups have been increased to 10,000 members each, so to make things easier for admins, they will now be able to search for members in their channels.
