Take $50 off select Apple Watch Series 5 GPS+ Cellular models at Amazon

The latest version of the Apple Watch, the Series 5 model, was unveiled last week by Apple and will be available in stores starting this coming Friday, September 20th. But already, Amazon is taking $50 off the price of certain GPS + Cellular variants of the timepiece. For example, the 44mm model in Space Black with a stainless steel case and a Black Milanese Loop band is priced at $749. The $50 discount amounts to a 6% price cut and you can double your savings by successfully applying for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card. Do that and the watch is yours for $699.

If you'd rather spend less for a GPS only model (without the cellular connectivity), you can pick up an Apple Watch Series 5 with a 40mm aluminum case and a Black Sport band for $384.99. That works out to a savings of $14.01 or 3.5%. But if you apply for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, you can take an additional $50 off the price of the device bringing the cost down to $334.99.

The Apple Watch Series 5 has a new big feature, an always-on display. Apple also has added a compass and the watch will now call emergency services all around the world even without an iPhone present. And of course, there is the heart-rate monitor that has saved quite a few lives. Last year's big breakout feature, the electrocardiogram (ECG), is also back to scan for abnormal heart rhythms.

To reiterate, the Apple Watch Series 5 won't ship until this coming Friday, September 20th. But you can absolutely take advantage of these deals right now during the pre-order period.
