T-Mobile plays nice with Galaxy Note 9 owners, rolls out Night Mode update

T-Mobile plays nice with Galaxy Note 9 owners, rolls out Night Mode update
T-Mobile is probably the last US carrier to bring the Night Mode camera update to the Galaxy Note 9, an update that shouldn't have been released until next month according to previous reports. Luckily, the Un-carrier has decided to give the update the green light, so if you have a T-Mobile Note 9, you should check your phone right now.

The folks over at TmoNews have the scoop on the news, so here are a few more details that might help you get the update faster on the Note 9. First off, you should be looking for the new N960USQU2CSGA firmware version, which is now rolled out to T-Mobile Note 9 units in stages.

Now, this is a pretty big update, so make sure that you have around 1GB of free storage on your phone. Besides the new manual Night Mode that will allow you to capture much better pictures in low-light conditions, the update also adds the July security patch.

To search for the update, simply head to Settings / Software update / Download updates manually, and hope that it's there. If it doesn't show up immediately, you can try again the next day.
