T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide is scheduled to receive a new update starting tomorrow, December 20
Even though all eyes are on Ice Cream Sandwich with all future software updates, we have to remind ourselves that we need to be patient with its arrival with existing handsets sporting older builds of Google’s smartphone platform.

Well, T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide owners will have to wait for the next software update to go gaga – seeing that this upcoming one is merely filled with bug fixes and improvements. Nonetheless, we’re certain that many people will still be glad to see the photo-centric taking handset getting some love. Specifically, the new software update features a Google security fix and a host of improvements that center around Wi-Fi calling, the Genius Button, and Netflix app experience.

Beyond those items, there isn’t anything particularly resounding with it. Though, in terms of availability, it's scheduled to start rolling out tomorrow, December 20th – where it’ll continue being rolled out until January 16th. Therefore, you can obviously start manually checking for it starting tomorrow if you don’t receive the nifty notification.

Looking ahead to the future, it’s anyone’s guess on when it’ll be upgraded to ICS.
