T-Mobile delays HTC 8X Windows Phone update
Yesterday, we saw leaked e-mails from T-Mobile saying that the Portico update for Windows Phone 8 would be rolling out to the HTC 8X today, but it seems like that plan has changed. There was no specific reason given, but the update has been delayed and will not be rolling out today. The news came from T-Mobile's support forums, where users were wondering why the rollout hadn't begun as planned.
A T-Mobile support team member wrote:
I know you were eagerly anticipating a new software update today and I wanted to give you a status update. In order to ensure the best possible experience with your device, we have temporarily delayed the release of the update to perform a few tweaks. We’re working hard to ensure that we get the update to you as quickly as possible.
So, no word on what happened or when the update will come, but we'll keep an eye out.
