T-Mobile USA announces its transition as CEO Robert Dotson plans to leave
All good things come to an end in one way or another, but you can't help but reflect back to all the good deeds that were accomplished to make any departure a memorable one. T-Mobile USA will be going through a transition stage as their current President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Dotson, has announced his departure from the company that he help build for newer opportunities. After being employed with the company for 15 years, Dotson's time with the company surely had some ups and downs, but there is no doubt he had some impact to its current development as being the fourth largest wireless carrier in the country. He will remain with the company through February 2011 when former CEO of T-Mobile Deutschland, Philipp Humm, is expected to go through training to take up the helm as CEO of T-Mobile USA. However, Dotson will still be close with T-Mobile seeing that he will remain as a non-executive board member for the company until May 2011. CEO of Deutsche Telekom, René Obermann said about the news, “I sincerely regret Robert’s decision to leave, however I absolutely respect his decision, and am most grateful that he has offered to stay on for another year in order to work with Philipp to ensure continuity in running the business. Robert’s pioneering leadership in establishing T-Mobile USA as one of the leading players in the U.S. mobile market has not only been recognized by us at Deutsche Telekom, but by the industry as a whole.”
