Sprint launches the Nougat-powered LG G Pad F2 8.0 tablet, priced to sell for $149.99

Sprint has just announced the immediate availability of the inexpensive LG G Pad F2 8.0, a tablet that can be connected with pogo pins to the Plus Pack in order to expand its battery life.

The slate is available for purchase right now for just $149.99, or $6.25 per month for two years. The Plus Pack comes separately and you must pay $79.99 to get one. It will allow you to connect an additional 4,400 mAh battery to the tablet, as well as a USB port and 2x2W speakers.

Plus Pack aside, the LG G Pad F2 8.0 is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and packs a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It's fully compatible with Sprint's CDMA network but also supports 4G LTE bands.

The back side features a 5-megapixel primary camera, while in the front there's a similar 5-megapixel selfie snapper. As the name suggests, the LG G Pad F2 8.0 sports an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution.

Software-wise, the tablet runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. The LG G Pad F2 8.0 is definitely a low-end tablet, but at this price, it's hard to believe you'll find anything better in the United States.
