Sprint announces Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport edition with Sprint Fit Live
Sprint is in the news again, asking sports fans for their attention. The carrier announced an exclusive device in the form of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport, the result of a collaboration with Samsung America, Under Armour, and MapMyFitness.

Launching on July 25, the Galaxy S5 Sport includes the Activity Zone app from the Galaxy S5 Active, along with barometer, compass, flashlight, and stopwatch functionality. It also has Active's three hardware buttons front panel layout, and IP67-rated water and dust protection. The phone's back panel boasts a new texture that looks like a combination between the regular Galaxy S5's dimpled pattern and the S5 Active's rugged back.

Customers who get the Galaxy S5 Sport on Sprint will also have $50 off the Samsung Gear Fit to really get their gears going. Not only that, but the Galaxy S5 Sport will serve as a "launch pad", of sorts, for Sprint Fit Live, a service which the carrier describes as "a complete mobile health and fitness package giving instant access to fitness applications and activities, relevant health information, integration with Spotify playlists", and possibly more.

Sprint Fit Live will be available on all new Sprint Android phones soon. The service is taken care of by MapMyFitness, an Under Armour subsidiary, which means users will get 12 months of free premium content, such as customized audio coaching, training plans, and live tracking. Ready for some sweet, sweet gains?
