Sprint and T-Mobile executives exchange compliments

Sprint and T-Mobile executives exchange compliments
1
What is going on here? Is the holiday season so joyful that a Sprint executive and one from T-Mobile can actually have good words to say about each other? First things first; the T-Mobile executive was not CEO and president John Legere. Miracles can run only so deep. The T-Mobile executive was actually CFO Braxton Carter, who was invited to an industry conference yesterday in New York.

Carter apparently was overheard praising Sprint's improvements with its finances and "other metrics." The T-Mobile executive said, "You've gotta give it to the Sprint guys." And that comment made it back to Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure, who sent a tweet to T-Mobile's CFO saying that Sprint is just trying to follow in the footsteps of T-Mobile.

Do we believe that Sprint and T-Mobile are ready to play nice with each other? Consider that not too long ago, the two carriers battled over their competing unlimited data plans with Claure calling his T-Mobile counterpart a "con man." But just put a little mistletoe above their heads and a bit of egg nog in their bellies, and these guys become the bestest of friends. Now John and Marcelo, smile for that selfie!
