Sprint Treo 600 users to get some cash from settlement
Are you currently carrying a Sprint Palm Treo 600 phone and strapped for some cash? Well it looks like you'll be glad to know that a class action settlement might bring some much needed greenbacks to your pockets. It stems from an allegation that Sprint and Palm made statements about the smart phone having Bluetooth or Wi-Fi cards developed and compatible with the phone. Unfortunately, it was untrue and no cards were ever made compatible with the Treo 600. It may not seem like a huge chunk of change, but class members who are current Sprint customers will be eligible to get a $20 bill credit. If you've changed carriers and no longer with Sprint, you'll get a mere $27.50 which is only redeemable at Palm's online store. This class action settlement is only valid for customers that purchased the Treo 600 smart phone for Sprint before October 27, 2004.
