As expected, Samsung's new Galaxy S9 flagships are no less shiny than last year's Galaxy S8. With curvy edges on the front and back, a soft-shaped frame, and glass all around — it's as shiny and beautiful as it is slippery and brittle. It's probably a good idea to have a case or two around for when you bring that pretty new Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ home.

Well, you can always count on popular case maker Spigen to have the case for your needs — from slim but grippy to bulky and protective. The company has updated its line and is ready to take orders for its wide portfolio of Galaxy S9 and S9+ cases. Let's take a quick look at them!

Neo Hybrid

The Neo Hybrid was Spigen's best seller for the Galaxy S8, and we can see why. It's a tight-fitting TPU case with an extra polycarbonate frame, which adds accents, improves impact-resistance, and enhances the look of the case and device. A herringbone pattern improves grip and reduces fingerprint grease marks. It's not really slim, but it's not bulky as well — a middle-of-the-road option, which offers the best of both worlds — good looks and dependable protection.

Tough Armor and Hybrid Armor

Tough Armor is Spigen's toughest case and a signature model, which has been copied time and again. It consists of a thick TPU coat and a polycarbonate shell with a backside that follows the curves of the Galaxy S9 to create a more ergonomic grip. A kickstand is also in place to allow for hands-free media consumption. And, if you are a fan of the new colors of the Galaxy phones — rest assured that Tough Armor comes in Lilac Purple and Graphite Gray.

Hybrid Armor has the same DNA — a TPU cover with a polycarbonate shell on top, but they are arranged in a different design. The Hybrid Armor tries to appear slimmer than the Tough Armor while providing the same amount of protection. The design favors good grip with cutouts and textures for improved ergonomics.

Rugged Armor and Liquid Air

The Rugged Armor line is a definite fan-favorite. The case is a single slim TPU shell, precisely crafted to fit snug and provide protection around your phone. A matte texture on the back improves grip while carbon fiber accents add some flashy details. It offers military-grade shock-resistance, yet is slim, light, and it's easy to put on and take off.

Despite the name, the Liquid Air is likely pretty much like Rugged Armor, only with different pattern designs. It's still one whole TPU shell, which is slim and light, yet fairly protective. The back is covered in triangular engravings, which improve grip and reduce fingerprint smudging.

Ultra Hybrid and Ultra Hybrid S

If you want the shiny finish of your Galaxy S9 to show through, take a gander at the Ultra Hybrid line. These cases sport a soft TPU frame, which can be clear or colored, and an entirely transparent polycarbonate back, which reveals your phone's natural bling. The Ultra Hybrid S series adds a kickstand to the back.

Thin Fit

As the name suggests, the Thin Fit line is minimalist and revealing. It's a thin polycarbonate shell that has generous cutouts around the phone's controls, letting you touch its metal frame when you interact with it. The case comes in 5 different colors plus a completely transparent variant.

Round off your order with a couple of accessories

The Spigen NeoFlex screen protector is made of flexible urethane and is capable of fitting to the Galaxy S9 and S9+'s curved screens without bubbles or color distortions. It's compatible with all Spigen cases so the pieces don't overlap and interfere with one another.

Spigen also offers accessories that work seamlessly with its cases. The Spigen Essential F306 Fast Wireless Charger sports a textured, non-slip rubber pad and overheat protection in the form of Spigen's ControlHeat technology. When powered by the included fast-charge wallplug, it provides 10 W of quick-charge power for the Samsung Galaxy phones and 7.5 W for the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X. It's also future-proofed to support 15 W wireless fast-charging whenever a phone that supports it comes out.
