Sony's ultra-thin Xperia T3 launches in India, free Sony Smartband included
Already released in Hong Kong, Sony’s Xperia T3 is slowly but surely making its way to other countries, and the next to get it will be India - the world’s second largest mobile market.

Sony today officially introduced the Xperia T3 in India, where the handset will go on sale on July 28. The T3 costs around $450 (26,990 INR) there, and pre-orders are available as we type this. Flipkart, one of India’s largest online retailers, is offering a free Sony Smartband and a free “Premium Case” to all customers who are buying the new Xperia. The handset can be purchased in black, white, or purple.

Announced as the world’s slimmest 5.3-inch smartphone (7mm), the Xperia T3 features an 8MP rear camera, 1.1MP front-facing camera, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal memory, and a 2,500 mAh battery. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat and looks pretty stylish - thanks in no small part to a stainless steel frame. Sony is obviously aware of the handset’s appeal, and it’s calling it Xperia Style in Germany, though the rest of the world will still know it as the T3.

Yep. Most of its specs are comparable to the Moto G, which is less than half the price...

Why is there such a demand for thin phones? They make zero sense, small battery, easier to break, feel rubbish in the hand.

I'd rather they added 2-3mm to the thickness of the phone and made the battery a whole lot bigger. Battery life > thinness...

But it could have even BETTER battery life if it was just a mm or so thicker...

Geez, for 350, I got a Huawei Ascend Mate2, 6.1" screen same snap400, 2gig of ram, 720p screen, LOUD speakers, sd card, an INSANE battery, 2-3 days of heavy use. So, it doesn't have KK, big whoop, fast & clear. MAYBE some one starts to put a dent in the overpriced & hyped iphones, samsungs, htc's with their over priced stuff, the prices will start to inch down. Heck, most people unless they are the bleeding edge types, won't even tough a snap 400 or 600, let alone an 800, not to mention the silly 2k screens that suck the life out of a battery.

same specs xiaomi redmi 1s is for 6999/- and sony xperia t3 is about 21000 rs I wonder how they are selling it for such a low price and xiaomi mi3 which has specs equal to lg g2, galaxy s4 is selling around 14000/- RS which is also 10000 less than xperia t3...!!!Only thing xperia t3 has brand name and some heritage behind the company...!!!

When will Sony and HTC put good pricing? Sony's ZR beats this phone easily in every department.
