Sony Xperia XA3 Ultra shows off its tall design in leaked press renders
The Sony Xperia XA3 series might have skipped CES last month but the smartphones will almost certainly appear at MWC 2019 later this month. And with under two weeks to go, the Xperia XA3 Ultra has now appeared in a set of press renders.

Like its smaller sibling, Sony’s next oversized mid-ranger will boast an unusual 21:9 aspect ratio that results in a very tall design. The 6.5-inch display is paired with extremely narrow side bezels and an almost non-existent chin. For some reason, though, Sony has fitted the smartphone with a huge forehead which increases its overall height significantly.

As per usual, the Xperia XA3 Ultra’s upper bezel houses the in-ear speaker, proximity sensor, and the unspecified front-facing selfie camera. While on the topic of cameras, it’s worth noting that the rear of the smartphone includes two. One of these will presumably act as the main sensor while the other will help with bokeh imagery and other instances where extra depth information is required.

The Xperia XA3 Ultra is expected to arrive powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 paired with a respectable 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This should also arrive accompanied by Android 9 Pie and a battery capacity of around 4,000mAh.

On a final note, the renders suggest the smartphone will be available in two colors once release – blue and black. Pricing information remains a complete mystery at the moment but there’s a strong possibility the device won’t be called the Xperia XA3 Ultra. In fact, Sony could scrap the ‘XA’ branding entirely in favor of a new smartphone series.
