Sony Xperia M4 Aqua in white springs a leak; still water resistant though
Just yesterday, we showed you a leaked image of the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua. With a name like Aqua, you would figure that this Android mid-ranger would carry IP certification, which it does. While Sony hasn't released the number, we are guessing that it would be around IP68 certification, which would allow the device to be submerged to as deep as 3.2 feet for 30 minutes and walk away unscathed. In other words, the Xperia M4 could do the backfloat in your toilet and still survive. The phone is water resistant even without a flap to cover the USB port.

While yesterday's leak showed the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua in red, today's image shows the phone in white. You might notice that there is a strong resemblance between the Xperia M4 Aqua and the Sony Xperia Z3. But specs-wise, the former shows its true colors as a mid-range model.

The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua features a 5.2-inch screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution. A 64-bit Snapdragon 610 CPU is under the hood and there will be 2GB of RAM inside. 16GB of native storage is on board. A 13MP camera graces the rear of the phone while a 5MP "selfie" shooter can be found on front.

Sony won't be introducing a new flagship at MWC, unlike last year when the Sony Xperia Z2 was unveiled. Heck, the company is making noise about getting out of the game altogether. But at least for one more day, Sony will be capturing our attention at MWC by letting us see the Xperia M4 Aqua and the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet in Barcelona. The latter was unceremoniously unveiled by accident the other day and sounds like a beast with a 10.1-inch screen, resolution of 1440 x 2560, or 1600 x 2560, and a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 under the hood. Toss in 4GB of RAM, 32GB of native storage and resistance to dust and water, and you have a reason to keep an eye on Sony's March 3rd MWC announcement.

It's funny, l see you on Samsung articles bashing the Galaxy S6 for poor design, but you fawn over this hideous looking bezel bridge of a phone?

Maybe because the S6 is a flagship and probably cost more than twice as the M4. So for a mid ranger that's sub 300usd, that's what you get

And for a mid ranger that looks as good as the flagship, we'll have a strong competitor here to the Galaxy A7.

It's personal opinion anyways. IMO, this looks good, and just as what I expected from a Sony phone. Clearly, Samsung isn't capable enough to design a premium phone, so I doubt they will win any design awards for the S6. I don't need any premium phone from Samsung, their Note 4 is already okay for me. As always, Note series > S series. Remember, this is just my OPINION. Stay away butthurt Samsung worshipers.

What if i told you the iPhone 6 looks exactly like a 2012 Samsung phone? And that all this S6 is an iPhone 6 clone is pure BS? i ll let you guess what is this Samsung phone am talking about. Hint: HTC as well copied it's brushed back metal finish

Is it one of the Wave series? I don't remember Samsung had any phones with metal finish back in 2012 though.

Oh, I see lol! But come on, as I said before, I don't give a crap about who copy from whom, I just want a good phone. And the S6 looks way far from being a clone, a clone is like the Goophone i6, which is 99% similar to the iPhone 6. Those who said that S6 is a iPhone 6 clone don't know what does the word "clone" mean. But still, I don't really like how the S6 looks in the leaked pictures. Still have some hopes left for Samsung, hope it will look better when we see the real one.

What are you talking about Ativ S is entirely made of plastic but uses a fake brushed aluminum finish. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_ativ_s-review-840p2.php

The Z3 doesn't have a flap for the headphone jack since the headphone jack is waterproof So I guess the USB is also waterproof now as well

S5 mini is waterproof yet it doesn't have flaps for both the headphone jack and the usb port.

Kyocera is already using waterproof headphone jack and usb port before any samsung phones and before S5 Mini there is a Sony Smartband with waterproof usb port.

Looks exactly like a Z3... which isn't a bad thing at all. Might as well enjoy Xperias while it lasts.

This might indicate that the Z4 will have a different design.

This is not the first time Sony little late in updating their phones and if you're so desperate to get the latest software why you do not buy the nexus? I also want my phone using the latest Android version, but as long as my phone is still able to function properly and all the applications/games that exist in the play store can run smoothly a little longer of waiting is not a big problem for me. I am also sure to prepare an update for 12 devices is not very easy especially with the various versions. So my advice if you so desperately want the latest android version as soon as possible you should never touch Sony phones. The reason I bought sony smartphone is because I want a Sony unique experience and premium design. That's why I did not really complain when I could not get the latest android version as fast as I want.
