Social networking apps Facebook and Twitter arrives on older Sidekicks
We know that the social networking craze has been most influenced by the younger generation – that's probably why it was implemented most recently on the T-Mobile Sidekick LX. Its updated features made it an attractive and hip device to carry around while keeping in touch with friends through Facebook or Twitter. Now the social networking apps that were found on the latest version of the Sidekick LX is now made available to download on select older Sidekick devices – but there's a catch to one of them. The Facebook app is absolutely free for owners sporting the original LX, the Sidekick 2008, or the Sidekick Slide. While the Twitter app will cost owners $1.99 per month to use – there's no exact reason behind the monthly fee. So there might be some benefits to owning the latest Sidekick LX, but we're sure that owners of the other handsets will still be pleased with at least the Facebook app being free.
