Skype for Windows Phone coming soon

Skype for Windows Phone coming soon
Microsoft closed the Skype purchase back in October, but there is still no Skype app for Windows Phone, but the Skype team has said that they are working on the video calling app for WP and it will be out soon.

In a recent interview from CES, Rick Osterloh, Skype vice president of products, went on record as saying that the team is working on a Windows Phone version and that it is "coming soon". As expected, there will also be the deeper integration with Windows products that Microsoft promised when the acquisition went through. Osterloh said that the team is working on products for Windows 8, Windows Phone, Xbox and Lync. Although reports do say that the deep integration will not be in the initial release of Skype for Windows Phone, but with the release of the next major WP update "Apollo".

google cant buy everything they feel like… they already have gtalk etc… this significantly boosts Microsoft's internet presence and allows them to have a standout feature on many of their products

That I can't download Skype in my WP7 is puzzling to me so I'm glad I can now soon do. Not that it matters much since I use Tango.

Skype will take time to come out. Perhaps on Apollo update. As this is not a standalone app. It is an integration in WP OS Itself.

Microsoft are quick at announcing things but slow at actually putting it out
