Devolver Digital is a well-known publisher of games, but the company rarely activates in the mobile industry. However, when they do launch a mobile game, it's always something special.

The new title soon to make its way to Android and iOS platforms is called Spaceplan. If the name rings a bell, you're not mistaken. Spaceplan started as a web-based game, but Devolver Digital claims the mobile version is much better.

Spaceplan is a clicker type of game with a sci-fi theme. Humorously, the publisher claims it's “based partly on a total misunderstanding of Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time.”

The game is not available for download, but you can find more details in the 40-minute trailer released by the publisher this week. As far as the release goes, Devolver Digital announced Spaceplan would be launched on both Android and iOS platforms on May 4.

Unlike many games that get released on Android, Spaceplan won't come for free, as developers have put a $2.99 price on it. Although it's not expensive at all, some might want to pay slightly more and get the PC version, which will be launched at the same time.
