Samsung introduces updated Samsung Galaxy A8 for Japan; adds new chipset
An updated version of the Samsung Galaxy A8 has been introduced in Japan. This is NOT the 2016 version of the Galaxy A8, but merely a revision of the current handset made expressly for the country. That is not to say that there aren't some changes as the 64-bit Exynos 5433 chipset replaces the Snapdragon 615 SoC.

The updated Galaxy A8 features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Those seeking additional memory can access the 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 16MP camera adorns the back of the phone, with a 5MP snapper on front. A 3050mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.0.1 is pre-installed. The unit comes with a fingerprint scanner, and measures a svelte 6mm thin.

The revised Galaxy A8 will be offered in White, Gold and Black. While the exact pricing is unknown for the moment, the device will be available in Japan midway through this month.

As far as the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is concerned, we still await the official unveiling from Samsung. Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016), Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016)were officially announced by the manufacturer.
