Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ is certified in Malaysia
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ was certified in Singapore last month. Today, an image surfaced showing the device receiving certification from Malaysia's SIRIM agency. The agency had earlier certified the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Both models will be unveiled this Thursday at the Samsung Unpacked event in New York City.

While the phone will have a dual SIM slot, there is some speculation that it might be a microSD/SIM card hybrid combo slot. This is all the rave in China where manufacturers are using it. With the hybrid combo slot, one of the openings can be used for a microSD card. If this is indeed on the handset, it should help many potential Galaxy S6 edge+ buyers sitting on the fence, make the final decision to purchase the model.

There are still many unanswered questions that we hope will be answered Thursday. The actual launch date would be nice to know. Speculation is that the new phones will be released on August 21st. Pricing could also be made public on Thursday.

The Unpacked event will be here before you know it. Keep it right here for last minute rumors and leaks. And on Thursday, make us you source for all of the latest news coming out of New York during the event.

Thanks for the tip!
