Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite GT-I9060 swings by the FCC
Expected to be officially announced at MWC 2014, Samsung's Galaxy Grand Lite (model number GT-I9060) should be a step down from the Galaxy Grand 2 that was introduced last month. This, of course, means it will be cheaper.

While Samsung has not confirmed the existence of the new Galaxy Grand GT-I9060, the FCC approved the device today. Unfortunately, the Federal Commission doesn't reveal much abut it. But it confirms that it's a “phone with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth”, while its battery appears to be a 2,100 mAh one.

The rest of the new Galaxy's features supposedly include a 5 inch display with 480 x 800 pixels, dual SIM capabilities, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and MicroSD card support. The handset may run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean at launch.

It's said that the Galaxy Grand Lite will be available in three color versions: black, orange and "lime green."

Another "Lite" device that Samsung is reportedly preparing for early 2014 is the Galaxy Note Lite, which - according to a recent rumor - could also have a green version. Is here a pattern that Samsung's affordable handsets will follow next year, perhaps inspired by Apple's green iPhone 5C? We don't know yet, but we assume we're going to find out soon.
